Ballingham Tunnel

This was one of those trips that we weren't exactly sure where we were going and what we would find.

Ballingham Tunnel is a 1208 yard monster which sits in the Wye valley, opening in 1855 as part of the Gloucester to Hereford line. To the South sits Ballingham Station which is now a private residence and parts of Fawley Viaduct remain over the river beyond...
Its a wet underfoot trip form one end to the other but the tunnel is in amazing condition given no one has touched it since 1964...
